DP World Fremantle are introducing a Sideloader Access Fee on sideloader trailers collecting import containers effective from the 1st January 2013.
DP World state that servicing a vehicle with a sideloader trailer within the DP World Fremantlr RTG operated terminal results in additional operational requirements and cost in comparison to a standard skel trailer.
DP World Fremantle RTG's having mid spreader cabins require a Yard Marshall on the ground to assist with guiding a container into position onto a sideloader trailer in order to avoid contact, which may result in damage, with the hydraulic arm of the sideloader. As such DP World Fremantle is required to roster a Yard marshall on all R&D shifts.
The Sideloader Access Fee will be $54.00 per trailer excluding GST on sideloader trailers collecting import containers from the terminal.
The SAF will be charged by DP World to the transport operator.
