PATRICK TERMINAL MELBOURNE - COVID 19 CASES

Thursday, October 7, 2021

National News # 2021/238

Dear Daniel

Patrick Terminal Melbourne - Additional Positive COVID Case Identified

Further to IFCBAA Notices and updates, regarding the ongoing issues at Patrick Terminals, an additional employee has tested positive for COVID-19 at Patrick Melbourne terminal.

In total, currently, 109 employees in Patrick's Melbourne Terminal workforce are unavailable to be allocated to work and must serve a 14-day isolation period.

Vessels are berthing up to four days behind schedule and delays would likely increase to seven to 10 days by mid-October due to the Maritime Union of Australia's industrial action and the impact of the COVID isolation periods.

In addition to delays at Patrick Terminal, industry in Melbourne can expect delays across the transport supply chain as the new health orders require authorised workers to be vaccinated.

IFCBAA will keep members informed of progress.

Regards

IFCBAA Team
